Christian CND's Mission
Statement
Believing that nuclear weapons are intrinsically
evil, Christian CND works ecumenically to convince people of this and to
strive towards their abolition; we believe that this aim is attainable.
Our Vision as people of faith:
we believe that the wholesale
destruction threatened by these weapons makes their possession and use an
offence against God and humanity
we deplore the nuclear arms
race and the blasphemous assumptions on which it relies
we are challenged in our
worship of God and our commitment to Jesus Christ by the existence and spread
of nuclear weapons
we trust in God, not nuclear
weapons
we turn our lives towards a
culture of peace and non-violence
we cooperate with all who
want to work for the goal of abolition of nuclear weapons
